Established over 70 years ago, the Portland Division Safeway Employee's Association (S.E.A.) has continuously served Safeway employee members. The original 1933 association charter focused on promoting fraternal and social relations.

In 1962, the original charter was enhanced...

"The purpose of this association shall be to foster, advance and maintain a spirit of fraternity and comradeship among its members; to promote their social relations; to provide pleasure and recreation, and to give or provide aid to its members in times of misfortune." ~ Amended Constitution, 1962

Today, the Portland Division S.E.A. has become part of SCEA (Safeway Companies Employee Association), one of the largest employee associations in the world! Our dedicated SCEA Staff & Volunteers communicate and facilitate membership benevolent programs, social events, the SCEA Gift & Floral programs and offer collective opportunities for over 10,000 employee members.
